Every gym has its lone wolves: form figured out by instinct, weight chosen by mood, a year or two in, they step up to the mirror and meet the same familiar face. Hiring a trainer? Heads shake like metronomes — "too pricey," "watched tutorials," "I got this."

The real cost of a coach isn't the bill. It's admitting "maybe I'm doing it wrong," which lands heavier for self-reliant folks than any ten-kilo plate.

So the smartest thing a trainer can pitch isn't a package. It's a soft opening line: "Hey, nobody nails it on day one."
